Sairoh (サイロウ, Sairou) is a minor character in Suikoden V. Sairoh is a retired trader whose trading network once extended through all Falena and beyond.

Sairoh is a retired old man, the grandfather of the trader Shinro, who enjoys spending his days peacefully in Raftfleet. Although he may not look it, he was once an incredibly prosperous and powerful trade in his own right, the scope of his business stretching all over Falena. He had traded with Beaver Lodge in the past, trading with Fuwalafuwalu's father, who was leader at the time. Wasil's father also traded with Sairoh, noting that he was an aggressive, though fair, trading partner. His grandson, Shinro, particularly looked up to him as an inspiration.

His legendary success was known throughout the land and there were dark rumours about him being involved in the weapons trade during times of war, selling weapons to both sides of conflict, as well as having a large pirate fleet under his employ in the Island Nations. He retired soon after the death of Shinro's mother and father, Sairoh's son. It is said that this or simply the dark rumours that had trailed him, led him to retire. Whether these mutterings are true, and how accurate they may be, is currently unknown.

During the Sun Rune War, he noticed the price of salt rising. As salt is a necessary ingredient for everyday life and a high price would thus make people suffer, he asks the Prince how he would lower its price again. Once the Prince sold some amount of salt at the local Trading Post, the price of salt stopped rising, which Sairoh gladly acknowledged. Inspired by the Prince's great salesmanship, Sairoh was once again inspired to become a trader and decided to join the Imperial City Recapture Army. While at first running the Trading Post in Raftfleet, he would later open his own at Ceras Lake, making a lot of potch in the process. There, he would greatly enjoy the bath built by Miroon, claiming that it is one of the few things old people can really enjoy. He would often visit it together with Alhazred and Genoh, who liked the bathing water to be extra hot. He also often encouraged the Prince to trade more, as it is a great way to raise funds for the war.

Following the Sun Rune War, Sairoh would make his final retirement, spending his days relaxing in Raftfleet with Raja and occasionally helping his grandson out when need be.
