Eike (アイク, Aiku) is a supporting character in Suikoden III. Eike is the faithful librarian of Budehuc Castle.
Eike's profile“ The gloomy librarian of Lake Castle.”
Eike is the resident librarian of Budehuc Castle. Harbouring a great love of books, he frequently immersed himself in reading and would often lose track of time, disappearing into the castle basement to read in solitude. Although he appeared to be gloomy and eerie, in reality Eike was a polite and helpful person. He held odd sleeping habits. Not only frequently forgetting to sleep when immersed in his reading, Eike would sleep with his eyes half open without turning and speaking in a strange, non-existent language.
Eike's talents as a librarian were notable as he was able to find old documents relating to the history of the castle when needed and it was he who first realized the connection between Geddoe and the man who had been present at the negotiations surrounding Budehuc Castle some 50 years prior.
Following the War of the Champions, Eike continued to lead his Silent Reading Society, holding meetings in the deep basement of the castle.
